Why Direct Connection?

If you want high battery capacity (up to 1,200Wh) and longer runtime with commercial output on demand, Direct Connection is the answer.

What's more, if you want a durable design that can withstand tough environments, the Makita Direct Connection PDC1200A02 Portable Backpack Power Supply or PDC01 4x 18V Battery Portable Backpack Power Supply is the way to go.

For top performance and all-day work, you can easily convert your mow-and-blow trailer or landscaping operation to battery-powered using Direct Connection.

Two Ways to Connect

There are two ways to connect the Backpack Power Supply to your tools:

  1. Direct Attachment: Attach the Backpack Power Supply directly to Direct Connection power equipment for battery-powered convenience and longer runtime.

  2. Corded Adapter: Connect the Direct Connection Line Trimmer and blower via an onboard umbilical cord. Remove the battery from the backpack and attach it directly for lawnmowing, offering up to 3 hours of cutting time.

PDC1200A02 Compatibility

The PDC1200A02 1,200Wh Portable Backpack Power Supply is compatible as a power solution either directly or using an adapter. Here are some examples of ways to connect:

  • Makita PDC1200 -> Direct Connection to Products -> 36V Direct Connection Product Range

  • Makita PDC1200 -> 191N62-4: 40V Max XGT Adaptor -> 40V Max XGT Product Range

  • Makita PDC1200 -> 191J51-5: 18V x2 (36V) LXT Adaptor -> 18V x2 (36V) LXT Product Range

PDC01 Compatibility

There are four terminals on the Portable Backpack Power Supply (PDC01) to accommodate up to four 18V LXT batteries.

For increased run time, load two or four LXT batteries and use the onboard cord to connect directly to Direct Connection commercial power equipment. Or alternatively, choose an optional 18V LXT or 36V (18V x2) LXT adapter for extended run time with LXT tools and power equipment.

Furthermore, the same fast-charging 18V batteries that power over 300 LXT products can also run Direct Connection products when used with the PDC01 Backpack. Here are the ways you can connect:

  • Makita PDC01 -> Direct Connection to Products -> 36V Direct Connection Product Range

  • Makita PDC01 -> 191J50-7: 18V LXT Adaptor -> 18V LXT Product Range

  • Makita PDC01 -> 191J51-5: 18V x2 (36V) LXT Adaptor -> 18V x2 (36V) LXT Product Range
