Bosch warranty: How am I covered?

Confident in their ability to provide top-class products on your shelves and digital devices, Bosch guarantees long life to all its products, with some of the longest warranties around.


With 135 years in the business, they are committed to meeting the highest expectations, providing guarantees on their fridge freezers, ovens, and other home products for up to 5 years. It is no surprise, then, that their power tools can be protected by warranty for up to 3 years.

While the standard 1-year warranty applies, the option to extend works to give the customer comfort in buying Bosch products, since their products can be quite an investment (quality comes at a cost, you know).

1-year guarantee


If you buy a Bosch product at UK Planet Tools, you will immediately be protected for up to one year. This is free of charge and is supplemented with your order.


Should you develop any faults during this period, you can either:

  1. Contact UK Planet Tools at +44 (0) 203 3972367 and we will assess the problem and provide you with a refund or replacement if applicable.

  2. Fill out a Bosch Online Repair Form to arrange for your item to be collected by an authorised repair agent. You can find the form here: https://www.bosch-professional.com/gb/en/repair-form/professional/

  3. Contact Bosch’s Aftersales team at 0344 736 0109 or email Bosch.ServiceCentre@uk.bosch.com and they will be able to arrange to have the item fixed or replaced free of charge (subject to inspection).

  4. Safely package your item and take it to your nearest Bosch partner. You can find one by typing your postcode under ‘Dealer Locator’ here: https://www.bosch-professional.com/gb/en/service/guarantee/information/.

Unlike many retailers, there is no 30 day period wherein you have to contact us if there’s a fault. You can contact us any time within the year and one of our friendly customer service agents will be able to assist you.


Although, we would always advise you to contact Bosch directly if you can, as they will be more likely to have all the spare parts to fix your item.


NB: It is advisable to keep any receipts/invoices you receive from us, as this will be proof of the date of your purchase. Your guarantee lasts 12 months after this date.


What does this warranty cover?


Your warranty covers faults in both workmanship and materials caused by the manufacturer. For example, an electrical fault that has occurred suddenly and without misuse would be considered eligible for repair.


Bosch states that they do not cover:

  • Accessories.

  • Demonstration models.

  • Parts that are subject to wear caused by use or other natural wear and defects on the Tool, battery packs and chargers caused by use or other natural wear.

  • Defects on the Tool caused by non-compliance with the operating instructions, improper use, abnormal environmental conditions, inappropriate operating conditions, overload or insufficient servicing or maintenance.

  • Defects on the Tool caused by the use of accessories and supplementary or replacement parts that are not Bosch original parts.

  • Tools that have been modified or added to, and tools that have been fully or partially dismantled.

  • Slight deviations from the specified quality that do not affect the value and functionality of the Tool.

3-year guarantee


If a year is not enough time for you to be covered by Bosch’s warranty, you can always extend this by up to 2 years (making it a total of 3 years).


Extensions can be applied for by using Bosch’s PRO360 online service portal. Here, you can open an account and register your items to extend their warranties.


You will even receive a certificate on PRO360, which you can download to prove you have extended your warranty in the event of a claim. The date on this certificate must be consistent with your receipt date to be regarded as ‘proof’.

If your product is eligible and you develop a fault after 1-year, please do one of the following:

It is recommended not to contact UK Planet Tools for repairs after the 1-year has passed, as your guarantee is directly through Bosch.


What does this warranty cover?


Minus some eligibility criteria, this warranty covers most of the ground the 1-year guarantee covers. To clarify, it should cover all professional power tools, measuring tools, and rechargeable batteries from Bosch.


Products that are excluded in the guarantee include high-frequency tools, industrial cordless screwdrivers, pneumatic tools, and corresponding accessories.


All warranty extensions are subject to registering your products on PRO360 within four weeks of purchase.
